Asian Pacific Counseling Services (PACS) has a dedicated group of administrative staff members who keep the agency’s operations in top condition. Without them, the organization would not run smoothly. Some of the areas of responsibility include: Human Resource issues including compliance with all State and Federal regulations, the hire, evaluation and termination of staff, client billing, staff payroll, routing all incoming calls, tracking client files, checking and maintaining the quality assurance of the services, agency security, HIPAA compliance, data collection, oversight on the physical plant of the sites, donor tracking, and general outreach to other agencies.
A key element of their work, especially for the managers is budget planning, projections and oversight of contracts and other funding sources . Staff handle the grant writing aspects of the agency with the guidance of an outside consultant.
The directors are active participants at the numerous meetings of the Department of Mental Health and other community organizations. In addition, the administrative staff works with the Board on fund raising, campaigns and solicitations. Although the administrative staff does not provide direct services, their work provides the infrastructure that allows for high quality clinical functioning.
